Gorillacell Module 031: Potentiometer

Table of Contents

The Potentiometer is an input device that varies its resistance when the knob is rotated. It is commonly used for adjusting voltage levels, controlling brightness, or tuning input values in electronic circuits.

The Gorillacell ESP32 Development Kit includes one Potentiometer module. It features mechanical stoppers at its minimum and maximum positions to prevent over-rotation and ensure durability during use.

BASIC INFORMATION

Device Category Interface Chipset Description
Input Sensor Cell Analog - -

PINOUT

It has 3 pins which are

  1. G - for the ground pin,
  2. V - for the supply voltage, and
  3. S - for determining the analog value of the Potentiometer module.

An Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) peripheral will be used in order to determine the potentiometer value.
