Gorillacell Module 025: Hall-Effect Sensor
Table of Contents

The Hall Switch, also known as a Hall-Effect Sensor, is a magnetic sensor that changes its logic state when a magnet is brought near it. This behavior is based on the Hall Effect — a phenomenon where a voltage difference is generated across a conductor when it is exposed to a magnetic field.
The Gorillacell ESP32 Development Kit includes one Hall Switch Sensor module, along with a small bar magnet for testing and experimentation.

PINOUT
It has 3 pins which are
- G - for the ground pin,
- V - for the supply voltage, and
- S - for determining the state of the Hall SW Sensor module.
A Hall SW Sensor produces a logic 1 when it detects a South Pole (S) magnetic field.
