Gorillacell Module 041: DS18B20 Water Temperature Sensor

The Water Temperature Sensor is an input device designed to measure the temperature of liquids. The Gorillacell ESP32 Development Kit includes one Water Temperature Sensor module featuring a waterproof probe, sealed with a heat-shrink tube for protection against moisture. The module uses the DS18B20 digital thermometer, which provides 9-bit to 12-bit precision in digital temperature readings. It can measure temperatures ranging from -55°C to +125°C and communicates with the microcontroller using the 1-Wire serial communication protocol, allowing multiple sensors to be connected on a single data line.

Gorillacell Module 040: NTC Temperature Sensor

The NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) Temperature Sensor is a type of thermistor whose resistance decreases as the temperature increases, and increases as the temperature decreases. This behavior makes it ideal for accurately detecting and monitoring temperature changes in various environments. For example, an NTC thermistor exhibits low resistance when hot and high resistance when cold. The Gorillacell ESP32 Development Kit includes one NTC Temperature Sensor module for experimenting with temperature measurement and environmental monitoring projects.

Gorillacell Module 039: Speed Sensor

The Photoresistor is a light-sensitive sensor that changes its resistance based on the amount of light it receives. When exposed to light, its resistance decreases, and when the light is obstructed, its resistance increases. This behavior can be utilized in speed measurement applications. By detecting the number of times the light is interrupted (for example, by holes in a rotating disk) within a given period, and knowing the number of holes per rotation, the rotational speed can be calculated. The Gorillacell ESP32 Development Kit includes one Photoresistor module for experimenting with light detection, speed sensing, and other photo-based applications.

Gorillacell Module 038: Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor

The Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor measures soil moisture by detecting changes in capacitance caused by variations in the dielectric constant of the soil. As the moisture level increases, the dielectric value changes, allowing the sensor to determine how wet or dry the soil is. Unlike resistive soil moisture sensors, the capacitive type is corrosion-resistant, providing better durability and long-term stability. The Gorillacell ESP32 Development Kit includes one Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor module for experimenting with soil monitoring and smart agriculture projects.

Gorillacell Module 037: FSR Sensor

The FSR (Force Sensitive Resistor) is a type of sensor that changes its resistance based on the amount of physical pressure applied to its surface. When more force is exerted, the resistance decreases, allowing the sensor to measure varying levels of pressure or touch intensity. The Gorillacell ESP32 Development Kit includes one FSR Sensor module for experimenting with pressure detection, touch-sensitive inputs, and force measurement applications.
