Gorillacell Module 026: Ultrasonic Sensor

The Ultrasonic Sensor measures distance using high-frequency sound waves. The Gorillacell ESP32 Development Kit includes an Ultrasonic Sensor module, driven by the HC-SR04 driver chip, which handles generating and receiving the sound waves. The sensor has two “eyes”: one acts as a transmitter that emits sound waves, and the other serves as a receiver that detects the waves reflected back from an object.

Gorillacell Module 025: Hall-Effect Sensor

The Hall Switch, also known as a Hall-Effect Sensor, is a magnetic sensor that changes its logic state when a magnet is brought near it. This behavior is based on the Hall Effect — a phenomenon where a voltage difference is generated across a conductor when it is exposed to a magnetic field.

Gorillacell Module 024: IR Object Sensor

The Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Sensor works by emitting infrared light and detecting whether some of that light is reflected back to the sensor. When sufficient reflected light is detected, it indicates that an object is present in front of the sensor.

The Line Finder Sensor, also known as a Line Detection Sensor, is a proximity sensor that detects objects or surfaces based on light reflection using an infrared transceiver. The IR transmitter emits infrared light, while the IR receiver measures the amount of light reflected back.

The PIR (Passive Infrared) Sensor detects motion by sensing infrared radiation emitted by heat-producing bodies such as humans and animals. It is commonly used in motion-activated lighting, intruder alarms, and automatic security systems.
